Learnings

After one year managing Gonzaga's social channels, Grace realized they were missing a crucial element in their social media strategy: user generated content. Day in the life videos she had recruited students for in the past performed better than most other content, and SEO research proved that people were searching "Day in the Life at Gonzaga" online. Mentoring and leading a group of six students allowed her to hone in on her coaching skills, showing them how to edit short-form videos and podcasts, and teaching them about brand voice. Facilitating group sessions and workshops improved her leadership and collaboration skills as well.

She earned the Staff Innovation Award in my second year with Gonzaga for founding and leading this program because of its direct impact on undergraduate enrollment. Read The Gonzaga Magazine's feature on the Zagfluencers.
